Miss Sixty - 2005/2006

Versatile and fashinating italian actress will be the protagonist of new Miss Sixty campaign by J. Mondino.

There will be a real partnership between Asia Argento, and Miss Sixty. This two-year partnership will include important and interesting projects.

An affinity born even before getting in contact directly: Miss Sixty has been listed in her film credits as preferred brand, for some time now.
Glamorous, lively, innovative, sexy and subtly, almost cynically, ironic: these are the common features of Miss Sixty and Asia’s character and personality. Asia Argento, the Italian artist with an international soul and fame, has always embodied values like freedom, experimentation and an unconventional style, perfectly in line with the original character of a brand, born from the creativity of Creative Director Wichy Hassan. There could be no better face for Miss Sixty than the multi-faceted and intriguing Asia Argento.

The Campaign

The author of this new campaign is Jean Baptiste Mondino. French, with Italian origins, born in Aubervilles in 1949, he’s one of the most important and best esteemed photographers, not only in the fashion world. His photos are the result of an accurately studied composition in which colour is the main character of his visual grammar.

So the new Miss Sixty campaign, interpreting the unconventional spirit of its two main characters – Asia Argento and Miss Sixty – is constructed on two parallel planes: a mess of clothes and accessories all around in the background and a close-up on a static, almost frozen figure. There is also a strong chromatic contrast between the kaleidoscope of bright, strong, almost fluo colours of the environment and the objects in it, and the monochromatic shades, “ton sur ton” matching, snow-white carnation, purity, sensuality and genuineness for Asia Argento’s body.
