"I'm very free in my work. I'm in my films what I can't be in life. Sometimes, I imagine that people might be disappointed when they meet me if I'm not in life what I'm in my films."

La Tua Lingua Sul Mio Cuore
"I don't remember how the idea of singing began, but I was the one who proposed to do the video. Alioscia, Pardo and I met at a TV transmission and we became friends. We did it because we wanted to, shooting at my home too and working for free, because we didn't have enough money. We only spent 3 million Italian lires (which means 1500 euros or 1880 US dollars in January 2004), which demonstrates that we could do a lot with very little. It's a sincere movie, full of love. I could take a lot of liberties, because I wanted it to tell a sincere story. That's why I shot it in Super 8, because it seemed to be the best for the video. I don't know the video clips language because I don't have a TV, well, I do have one, but for the past two years the antenna has been broken. I knew about videos which cost a lot of money, but that don't say much at the end and I wanted to do something different. Even if it's not evident at first sight, I wanted to tell a story. I'm very satisfied with the result. It's a video... a video shot in Super 8, not a short movie. There's a huge difference between both things: in a video you can take a lot more liberties.... poetic licences. It's a 'home-video'", Asia reported speaking to reporters in 1999 when her video was shown in Piazza Grande at the Festival Internazionale del Film at Locarno.
'La Tua Lingua Sul Mio Cuore' according to the press release of the Locarno Festival: "Nightmares, images of horror, memories stolen from a childhood lived amid other nightmares - those of Asia Argento's father Dario. Asia crying, laughing, licking the heart of an image, eating ice cream in the bath tub, running through fields of flowers, arguing with her school friends of long ago, Asia who wants to grow up, or maybe doesn't. Asia who has grown up. A three-minute video of burgeoning, distressing vitality, to a soundtrack called La tua lingua (also featuring Asia "mewing like a kitten") by drum'n'bass group Royalize, an offshoot of Casino Royale".
