Boarding Gate Release Date: 2007 Director: Olivier Assayas Starring: Asia Argento, Tony Leung Ka Fai, Michael Madsen, Michelle Yeoh Plot Summary: Entitled "Boarding Gate", the movie boasts a multicultural universe of stars, including Michelle Yeoh, Asia Argento, Michael Madsen, and not one but two Tony Leungs. An Italian woman [Argento] who lives in London has a passionate affair with a former financial big gun [Madsen]. She also had a second lover [a Leung], a contract killer who has to kill the big gun. Her second lover's wife [Yeoh] is behind the scenes, pulling the strings. Olivier Assayas on the film: "I will be making a genre film, which is more like a thriller, with Asia Argento. I will be shooting half in Paris and half in Hong Kong, and that's for this summer. It's called Boarding Gate." Olivier Assayas on working with Asia: "I like her films, and I think she's really good. My joke recently is that there are two filmmakers in Italy, one is Nanni Moretti and the other is Asia. We met for another project, which did not happen, but I instantly liked her very much and I felt she was someone who I could totally function with. I thought we had a lot in common, so I'm very much looking forward to it."
